I Knew Her But An Hour Poem by John Hawkes

I Knew Her But An Hour

I KNEW HER BUT AN HOUR, by John Hawkes

I knew her but an hour,
I kissed her cherry lips,
She Let me play inside her heart,
She let me touch her hips,

Her voice was cool and soothing,
Her touch was soft and warm,
I knew her but an hour,
I turned, and she was gone.
