Seperation Poem by John Hawkes

Seperation

At last the circumstance, have pulled our world apart,
We always knew it would do, we knew it from the start,

You have your children and husband, I have my wife and mine,
But somehow along life's highway, our two worlds intertwined.

Somewhere along life's highway, I found a trusted friend,
I found a heart that I called true, That I will love until the end.

But tell me do you see my face, when you lay at night,
Do you feel me in your heart, when comes the morning light?

So long my beautiful lover, my friend, my soul mate too,
I will never forget you, or the love that we once knew.
