from the first time we met eyes,
the biggest smile stretched across my face,
to not say hi would've been unwise,
a smile? ill double take, just in case,

a nervous shuffle and a mutter under breath,
the sweaty palms after the first touch,
a story of defying death,
my life saved in a clutch,

a summer apart yet we persisted,
going weeks without word,
every feeling mutual and not resisted,
giving up, even then was unheard,

the last kiss repeated in dreams,
watch the night sky, wish on a star,
love at first sight no longer in extremes,
ill still love you no matter how far,

letters to each other keep us alive,
feelings and hearts on paper,
with each letter im reassured we'll survive,
some how i knew this was 'her',

the things you say blow me away,
takes my breath and leaves me speechless,
every memory is on constant replay,
even when you tickle me, i cannot deny your adorableness,

few things have made this hard to cope,
the time away from you seems infinite,
we've always held on and never gave up hope....
