*********I still clamber after you..............

How I loved
to wear your big shirts
clamber after you on
the banistered stairs
Kissing your moustache
when you tickled my feet........

How I loved
to swim in your oversized coats
dance with lungful of your cologne.
Listening to your
barreled laughter.

When you had pick me up
spinning me until I fell dizzy.............

How things have changed
since I was your little boy
once your little pappu.

Now you are no more,
yet I still clamber after you.........

I know, this must be hard...
but we never grow up in the eyes of our parents or rather we do not want to grow up in their presence or absence...
so remain 'Pappu' of your dad forever and ever...I am sure he is smiling at you even at this very moment...
    very emotional and heartfelt..

I really love this poem. The emotion that you shared for your father is great. I would have loved to have that feeling toward my father.

    Great poem. (Report) Reply
