I Will Come To Your Funeral Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Will Come To Your Funeral

Rating: 5.0

I will come to your funeral
Simply to look at your dead face
Not to pay respect. You were a disgrace
To the community. You were a general
Who forgot that all of us were passing by
It's sad that I won't come to say goodbye
But to witness the justice of the Almighty
I won't laugh. I won't be sorry or have pity
For you, because you were an spiteful devil
For crying out loud, you were never an angel
You loved money and power. Now, how much
Do you have in your coffin? You were out of touch
With the reality of life on this strange planet
Presently, all your assets belong to the ingrate
In your prime, you were ritzy and mean
In your old age, you became a fugly scene
I will come to your funeral
To attest that no human or animal
Will live forever. And nobody is eternal.

This is a very thought provoking poem. If a person does good deeds then he is remembered for long time. If he does not do good works, people do not remember him at all.
