Will music fall flat
upon my ears? Could
the sun rising become
only the day's light?
Is my laughter then
only an empty sound?
If I should lose my soul,
might I forget to forgive?
Would I still practice in joy
that which could just be done?
Would I care if you cry?
If I should lose my soul,
would I bargain to live
one more minute
without human love?
Seeing my reflection
in a rodent's eyes
and in the flick of a
serpent's tail?
I love the words' in the flick of a serpent's tail? ' It shows the maturity in your writing.good job Cheryl.
dignified piece...mature questions arising....an awakening..touching... .makes me reflect on the thoughts...and... examines my soul on the meaning of my existence here on earth.... ...to have my soul or to lost it..or bargain it...definitely would not......with God's guidance..........10++++++++
Capturing Love how the questions are represented here forces the reader to think and reread over and over
Strong poems and... Very elegantly.... I have seen here a tail snake very seductively... And infinite love to a life... Cheryl, from my 10.... Warmest regards, Tsira
A very interesting piece. Very interesting. Don't know what to make of it. Can't decide. GW62
Thought provoking questions you ask in this write. These lines were the ones that had caused me to stop and think when I read them. might I forget to forgive? Would I still practice in joy that which could just be done? Would I care if you cry? There are many other questions that I could add to the ones you have asked, ones that I do not voice because I am not sure I want to know the answers. Thank you for making me think. Excellent work.
