If Someone Poem by Randy McClave

If Someone

If someone spitefully does you wrong
Don't you also do a deliberate wrong,
Praise God instead with a song.
If someone sinfully tells you a lie
Don't you also birth a lie,
Remember, for all Jesus did die.
If someone from you does divert or steal
Don't you also rob or steal,
Give unto them, and help their soul to heal.
If someone deceives you or does cheat
Don't you also defraud or cheat,
Do not let their sin or their actions repeat.
If from spite someone mocks or does laugh
Don't you also at others mock or laugh,
Always take the Christian path.
If someone continually uses or takes advantage of you
Don't you ever do as they did or do,
God loves them, as he loves you.
If you are continually used or hurt by others
Do not use or seek revenge on them or others,
Remember, we all are still sisters and brothers.
If someone takes and takes and never does give
If they are always judging and combative,
Remember to smile, and then always forgive.
If you continually turn the other cheek
Remember there is a reason you have another cheek,
God, made you strong, and not weak.
If someone continually ignores you or them
Don't you ignore or forget them,
Remember, shamefully they also ignored him.
