If The Night Has A Shape Poem by Indira Renganathan

If The Night Has A Shape

Rating: 5.0

If the Night has a shape
Also the Day has a shape
They are two reptiles
Clenching each other's tail
Eaten Night..it's the Day
Eaten Day..it's the Night
Yet muse, how the Day is merciful
With the Night..
The mottled stars and the moon
Attiring pretty..

Beautiful poem of nature with a mythological bent. But, thank God, the 'day eats night' and 'night eats day' syndrome ends in a merciful denouement. Thanks, Indira Ma'am.
