Choose or choose to not
Your vote is always a vote
Precious and dear
When you are a part of electoral manner
But ballot box or EVM
Makes no difference to them
As beyond hurly-burly of politics
They wish to stay for peace sake
For this politics is dirty
And they feel dejected and guilty
Not all but some amongst us
Feel apathetic to the electoral process
But every vote cast
Generates hope and faith reposed in a candidate
That might make a positive difference
To the society we live in hence
To vote is not only a right
It's also a responsible act
By exercising the option to express your opinion
Sensibly you take part in governance
And in good faith vesting in someone with power
To transform your life and that of others for better
But deliberately keeping aloof from casting vote
Encourages the randomness of political change-over to the worst
Indecisiveness or indifference or apathy is worse
That goes against the tenets of all spiritual teachings
Choose action over inaction in an informed but detached manner
For any disequilibrium in society is bound to cause some order
Of disequilibrium in all of us
For in a democracy the opinion of every individual matters
