In Jesus Name Poem by Marquita Lawson

In Jesus Name

Father You are Glory;
Brighter than the sun
I will tell your story;
'till all my days are done

I stood at the foot of the cross;
My heart had no joy within
Lived my life in despair, beyond all repair;
I had covered my world in sin

They said He was dead and buried;
But I knew deep inside there was more
Then I learned that He lives and always forgives;
That’s the day I opened the door.

He heard my cries in the nighttime;
When the world crashed around me one day
He carried me through the dark and deep waters;
He took all my fears away.

Father You are Glory;
Brighter than the sun!
I will tell your story;
'till all my days are done.

Now, you know, my love isn’t perfect;
I stumble and fall to my knees
What I love about Him most
He forgives me so quickly;
My Lord is easy to please.

I’ll praise the name of the Father;
Give glory to Jesus His Son;
I’ll live in the Spirit in Jesus name;
Until He comes back again.

Father, thank You for the faithful,
They lead men to your door
Bless them with “crowns of glory”;
When they’re with You on Heaven’s shore

Father You are Glory;
Brighter than the sun
I will tell your story;
'till all my days are done
