my mothers love amazes me
it's warm when i need it
and kind when i deserve worse
i feel it in her hugs
i hear it her voice
i smell it on her skin
i see it in her eyes when we have our heart to hearts
i know it's there even when i have doubts

my mothers love continues to shine
it's in her cooking
and written on her forehead
i see it in our home
it's strong and one day i hope my love is like hers

we have had through it all but no matter what
i know i can come home and find comfort in my mothers love
