In The Golden Years Poem by Savita Tyagi

In The Golden Years

Rating: 5.0

Hocus-pocus is life without a focus!
But why worry at all!
With sleight of a hand
I drop my guards to wing wild.
Let the whiff of wind take me
Wherever it may.
Beyond these vales and valleys
Lies a world of my imagination
Far more enchanting than any
Man made goals and deadlines.
Sounds like a good choice?
Of course! But this freedom comes
only past the retirement age!

Savita ji, this is a fabulous poem that i fully identify with. I just read the wonderful translation by Rajnish ji. Only during golden years of our life that we can let our imagination flow with the wind, so care free and nice. Loved the poem.......10

The poem calls for creating a carefree world which a poet is inclined to create with his imagination when away from family and professional duties. Thanks a lot for sharing this amazing poem. This goes into MyPoemList: Beyond these vales and valleys Lies a world of my imagination

The way of presentation of this poem is so fantastic. The beginning line is much amusing and it is...Hocus-pocus is life without a focus! which is true. A beautiful poem so nicely executed.
