Injustice Of Infidelity Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Injustice Of Infidelity

Torn in two by the injustice of your infidelity, lies and
abuse, there is no answer to the whys and wherefores in
this life.

You've done me wrong and there's no way to make it right,
going our separate ways, never to meet again, your cheat-
ing heart always straying.

Going beyond the limits and boundaries of our once upon
a love, stretching ties that once bound us, breaking them,
never again to be a slave.

Love that was once professed, all the promises made, now
broken, shattered, tears now drowning my heart in sorrow,
nothing left but loneliness and abandonment.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Just a note to let you know this poem is not about me, there are some who think I write only about myself, that is untrue, most of what I write is
how I imagine things would be. I use my gift of imagination and other people's life situations at times, it's called a poetic license. My husband has never cheated on me in the 40 years we've been together.
I love using poetic license throughout my years of writing.
