Introspecting Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Introspecting

Introspecting
I see a face
So tired
But not
disgraced

Somewhat
Hardened
Still not
Disheartened
Wonder when
Will she be
Pardoned

Life's has been,
Just too long
Tired legs
But strides
are strong

How many miles
Do I need to walk
Before I hit
That bottom rock

Many days
To many months
Years gone by
No hardships dearth

When will I
Climb the
rainbow high
When will waves
I'll get to ride
When will Earth
Let me plant
My feet
When will love
Live in my own street
