Isabel Poem by Zayne Venilos

Isabel

Rating: 5.0

I've just seen a face
oh so heavenly so!
packaged up and tied with lace
and knotted with a bow;
Eyes as dark as night
that glitter in the light
could she be what I was looking for?
The girl named Isabel?

Ha! How can I shout with glee?
such a boyish fool I am
how can I love a girl
that I have yet to see?
I'm not crazy, that is for sure
but maybe the idea of it all,
is just another lure!
Ah! But this cannot be true
how can she be a shrew?
My beautiful Isabel?

Oh her secrets in which she told
I shall never speak a word
I'll meet her sometime soon
but I will not surely tell;
She will be mine and I'll tell you this now
She is my darling, Isabel.
