It Frightens Me Poem by Cindy Rheeder

It Frightens Me

I can’t seem to ignore these feelings,
So I try and avoid your gaze,
It scares me to know,
That your eyes never miss a single beat,
And it frightens me to know,
You can capture me with a single word you say,
I wish I knew what you thought,
When I see you watching my ever move,
And I wish you’d stop saying my name so sweet,
It never sounded better than you make it sound,
And I wish I didn’t feel this way at all,
You make my heart race, my stomach flutter and my knees weak,
And it frightens me to know,
That I can’t hide it from you as well as I hoped,
I try to avoid your gaze,
But you have such stunning eyes,
And I can’t help the blush on my cheeks,
It frightens me to know,
How badly I’m in love with you right now.
