January Days Poem by Peter S. Quinn

January Days

January days
with cold mornings,
wintry moody grays
brighter days yearning.

Dreams and fantasies
now in sleep found,
as the icy cold breeze
circles here around.

Songs of winter echo
in its clear snows,
hear the wintry blow
as the darkness grows.

Silver moon shining
who is dancing there?
around the shiny lining
in footsteps everywhere.

February's coming
with its frosty song,
Icy window blooming
spring days too long.

Stars so near at night
in its glisten glow,
faraway's of bright
on hoary frosty snow.

Refrain
Songs of winter echo
in its clear snows,
hear the wintry blow
as the darkness grows.

Silver moon shining
who is dancing there?
around the shiny lining
in footsteps everywhere
