Were Jonah’s motives fear revenge?
Assyrians had committed terrible

atrocities against the people of Israel
traveling into their midst was terrifying?
Jonah despised hated the Assyrians

desired in his heart for God to punish
Assyria? Jonah knew God’s nature.
Jonah knew if repentance he preached

to the Ninevites they would repent?
God would spare them punishment.
