Lately, Poem by Mark Heathcote

Lately,

Lately, my sorrows have gone
Clift diving into the waves
But currently, I can still swim
I can paddle ashore through gales,
It's because of you.

Lately, my burdens have been
Heavy as a bolder rolling downhill
But currently, there's an arc in my soles
A bonce in my tread
And it's because of you.

Lately, I've found my mojo.
And my heart can't flag
And I can't play virtuoso
I can't be alone. I can't be solo
And it's because of you.

You stole me away, heart and soul
I sit at my hearth fire and watch the sparks
And dream it's your love that's guiding me
I sit at my hearth fire and watch the stars
That disperses every shadow
And it's all because of you.
And it's because of you.
It's because of you.
