Laugh, Laugh, Laugh With Me Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The comedian Vadivelu in a Tamil film
collects money from those around
and assures, ”They will be shown God”
He takes them to a lonely place
and tells them to see God
on the top of a mound away.
All of them yelled, ”I don’t see Him”.
The clown tells, ” He whose wife
Is a sweetheart to others can’t see God”
and asks one, ” Don’t you see God there? ”.
“ Oh, I see Him in blazing light! ”, he shouts.
Then he queries the next. He too blares:
“ I see the beautiful God there! ”
All of them cried in delight: ”We see Him! ”.
When I remember this scene now and then,
I laugh heartily for a while.
