Learning Curves. Poem by Fay Slimm

Learning Curves.

Rating: 5.0

If time's stream could run
.......................in a backward course

And with past returning
.......................could reach its source

Would we change events
.................................to be future truth

Or would we waste chance
...........................yet again on youth?

I wonder.... Wasn't it Shaw who said 'youth is wasted on the young? ' Your poem certainly has me thinking. Succinct and perceptive penning. But who would expect anything less from this fine poet. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Very true Ms. Slimm.....I believe life can only be understood from the past though we are devoid of that elapsed time yet we can learn from all those curves that somehow help to shape our attitude towards life and identify life with full clarity and live it forwards and with full authority......

An old head on young shoulders? where, the merriment of youth! I'll take the risk, with the fruits of life one-way ticket, that's my truth! you got us pondering Fay!

If we can go back to the past(in a time machine?) , there are a myriad of things we can amend. Beautiful poem. Beautiful style indeed.
