Let's celebrate Women's Day by Andrew W.K. Yip

God created us in the Garden of Eden,
A man and a woman, so equal, so complete.
As we celebrate Women's Day this year,
Remember, they both have risen to compete.

'I rise as a woman with the same hopes and dreams;
I rise to be part of you as a family so complete,
To complete the empty parts of me, wanting to be full on my own,
Still I rise with you in combined strength no force can beat.

I rise with all women to celebrate the paths of achievements paved.
Some may write it down in history with its twisted lies.
Few women can go on in this World, ignorant, abused or even enslaved,
But equal to set the World on fire and help light up the skies.'
