Liar Poem by Leslie Alexis

Liar

You cause the bee to buzz and die.
You are beautiful so it flies to you
to find glass cannot be flown through.
You are the light that traps each mot,
but better is the flame of the hottest fire,
For they are honest, but you are a liar,
whose glow does not tell of the heart
that burns uneasily within its chamber.
You are the allure of hell, an ember
of pleasure from far, but up-close, a mist
that cannot be held in hands, yet burns;
a figure in glass devoid of concerns.
