Liberty's Embrace Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Liberty's Embrace

Stranded in emptiness, walking towards destinations,
looking at evening stars with whispered breaths
encased in liberty's embrace.

Free as doves in midnight skies, loneliness catches
itself in atmospheres of ribbonless ties.

Careening around the world, life takes steps
backwards into another time when being alone meant
never being alone again.
