Like A Crown On A King - Poem by Jesse Ellsbury

I am temporary every single day,
stuck in place for one brief time
like a snowflake on a branch
and then I melt again
and drip
onto a sparrow’s wing:
a drop of water
like a crown on a king.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Just a thoughtful musing on our ephemeral nature.
