Like Dancing Alone Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Like Dancing Alone

Writing from another perspective lately, because cancer
has once again tried to take over this poetical being,
but not letting it take from me.

Listening to music, writing, keeping intellect focused
on the future, not at all wanting to think about the
present and what I'm now going through.

It's like dancing alone, music and rhythms flowing
through me, no one else around, grasping onto faith
and hope, the only lifelines available at this time.

Faith helping to remain positive, thinking of future
tomorrows that are still available, possibilities
looming through a faithful hope, and hugging closely
to God.
