Lost puppy
- - - - - - - - - - -
Litter brothers and sisters
Of white and black and mottled color
Romping and playing on the ground
Without fear and care like little child
They were cute and cuddly
And they could act so silly
When one little beagle
Was struck in a mud puddle
The puppy toiled and struggled
Only to become more exasperated
Yawning and yelping
The puppy finally gave up ascending
Letting herself slide into neck-deep
To be left there all night aloof and given up
Next morning a small
Child was walking by the puddle
And saw the beagle lying there
With a mass of mud covering her
Coming closer the boy screamed for help
But none turned up
Without delay he jumped into the mud puddle
And pulled the puppy out alive and wakeful!
Such was the courage, love and affection
Of the little boy who saved the beagle from curtains
As Valsa Ma'am has rightly pointed out, your poem is as cute as those puppies. Also I am pleased to see the story end on the right note.
Beagles are so cute to look at! Poor puppy lost in the puddle! So nice the little boy came to its rescue! Your poem is as cute as those puppies! Where were the rest while one strayed away?

A beautiful poem with lovely description of cute puppies. Child's love for puppy is portrayed very well. Simply Beautiful. Loved reading it.
