Love Is A Jealous God Poem by Mcanthony Nwatu

Love Is A Jealous God

When the cloud of the heart becomes heavy,
The tears of love come raining,
The heavy hearted becomes weary
And scraps painfully
For there are no masters of love.

Indeed there are no masters of love.
Love, a jealous God
Shares its loots and fame with nobody and lord;
Love is a jealous God.

Romeo and Juliet wanted the crown of love
To be the faces of love,
With the name master and miss love.
It brought them to an early grave,
The world thought they were brave.
Love is a jealous God.

Jesus died for love.
When the law of the olden was aggressive,
Christ added love to make it conducive.
He rouse on the third day,
Having paid the ultimate price.
Love is a jealous God.

Samson by strength was famous,
But dared more from a god so jealous.
Fell for Delilah's Coy
Undeniably he embraced the ultimate price.
Love is a jealous God.

If love loves you, it frees your life
Still it will skip you from heart to heart.
As was Geneviève from Emeka Ike
To Ransom Noah, Jim Iyke, so to Van Vicker.
So jealous that it can't leave you satisfied.
Love is a jealous God.

Who again will die for love.
If not me who else.
Of course not again.
The God is so jealous.
Though caring but wicked
Smart, bitter and painful.
Realistic but deceptive.
Our fathers call it delusion illusive.

Bricks and lace say love is wicked,
D'banj says don't get it twisted, love is a beautiful thing.
See these differences in perception,
That is the deception.
Love is a jealous God.
