Love Lesson Poem by Elena Sandu

Love Lesson

The shouting snow blizzard
keeps shooting anger
Towards us.
My face hurts, while
Trying to defend my eyes.

Line waiting for the bus
I hid a frowning face
constantly moving
trying to turn my back
to the angry blizzard.

All people
were doing the same
except.... Her.

A mother
holding a blanket
with clenched
bare purple hands.

Thin blanket
barely covering
a smiling baby.

Immobile stone like standing mother
talking to her baby released
an instant burst of laughes
from both sides, mother and child.

Ashamed
of my complains
I raised a smiling face
Towards the wind
And thanked.

Indeed, a love lesson!
However angry
the snowy wind
could never break
Pure love connection.
