Luncheoning Poem by Lisa Rhodes

Luncheoning

Rating: 4.0

Remembering you…
Remembering…remembering…
The crash of leaves waking
Morning in my arms like
A darting sun suddenly-
Boasting bright yellow
Until stars like angels
Danced on my shoulders.
You waited
Even when the shade came
Darkening the sky
You still shone lovingly
Over my eyes
Reassuring me of your intentions.

'Reassuring me of your intentions.' It's a pleasure when a partner can read such intentions.
