Magical Day Poem by Justin Gildow

Magical Day

Today's a magical day
The hours, I wish could go slow
The sun, I wish could stay out longer
But I know that can't be
For you all
For me

So show me your gifts of magic
Even if they may not seem magical to others
They're magical to me

It's a magical day
And one by one
You all show me something
Or give me a gift
To that I say thank you

Magic may be in plain view
It also may not be seen
But I love the gifts and tricks from all of you
No matter how small, ordinary, big, amazing
they may be

It's a magical day
And sparks of magic glide throughout the air
All of you and I look up at the sky
With smiles on our faces
And warmth in our hearts

It seems we're not alone after all
On this magical day
As we enjoy ourselves
Whether by what we play
Or just by laughing the minutes away
Even the day away
