Memories Of You Poem by Dave Dafes

Memories Of You

Rating: 4.6

Wandered down the woods again
Thru' the thicken'd forest saw i,
Y'ur face engrav'd on ev'ry flora,
Lighting the trees with y'ur magic aura.

Thru' gushes of windy breeze,
Caught i, y'ur fragrance strow by.
Enthrall by the scent of thee,
Enflame'd my heart sweet thoughts anew.

Down beside a scented pool,
I idly away my eventide sat.
Beheld a blossom of silky touch,
On each petals y'ur name is etch.
To my heart it hard i press'd
Till the air, rife with thy charming presence.

Then the gods i do implore
To write your name on ev'ry star,
Paint y'ur picture on the sky,
Then teach the birds to sing y'ur praise.
This they did my heart is bless'd.
For you alone my thought is fill'd.
