Mirror Poem by John Powell

Mirror

You are with me in a mirror
I am never without you
When I sit alone in my bed
I can feel your soft carress
as it lingers lightly as a hurricane does
like a word never spoken but felt the same
You are in the darkest corners of my mind
Chasing away my demons with the fire of your passion
I am never away from the thought of you
your scent overwhelms but I find no source
you voice floats like the leaves in autumn
sent from its home of your soft lips
I can feel you when I close my eyes
I can taste you in the air
We are on separate sides of the hourglass
Yet as the sand flows I feel no relief
for time brings us no closer together
When the moon draws near
I see you in the tides
Forever close
yet I feel no embrace
You are with me in a mirror
Yet I can never see you

A nice poem of yearning! Quite appreciable!
