When
I was in slumber
Was called upon
Afore timely nothing for.

Entire universe was
Still speechless
In the beams of stars
Dense darkness
Earth was shrouded with.

Family lamented
How in dark
Will recognize the path?

I voiced: Will walk with own light
Look the candle is here in my hand.

More the candle emitting
Light in full glow
Equally more and more
Obstacles fuddled.

The blended umbra
Spreads chiaroscuro
Partial vision blurs me.

Quicker I walk fearlessly
By the cloud dust
More and more
The sky gets embraced.

The flame quivers
By fidget wind
My gaits get confounded
In every step.

Suddenly
The head collided
With the mesh of woods
Candle went off suddenly
Have lost the path already
I discover.

In front
Dense darkness
Yell with stooped head
I’ve lost all powers.

In the very moment
Suddenly find
Pal of my entire life
Mon Escorte
Behind already!

So good to have an escort someone you can always turn to when you're among the shades and hues. I like shades and hues as well (lost painters soul lol at myself) embrace them before casting them. (Report) Reply

Great metaphor here. We all have a guiding angel that walks with us they keep us out of harms way. In another way they provide light where there is dark....if the whole poetic world was dark, your poems help bring light to an already dead end. Lol (Report) Reply

Once a boy visited his grandmother and had to return to his mother's house late before nightfall through a dense jungle. Her grandmother told, 'Don't worry, Lord Krishna will accompany you, but you should not look back.' He was hearing the sound of anklets behind and was going ahead without any fear. At the end of the forest, out of curiosity, when he looked back, none was there and the jingling sound of the anklet had also stopped. This poem reminds of this story I have heard. A nice presentation of Mon Escorte. (Report) Reply

Walked the path with you in the light of your candle. What a shock when it went out and what a relief to have God on our side at this critical moment. Thanks, Matt. (Report) Reply

Like full 5 day Test Match of Cricket with...matchless narratives and poetic wording lolol

RNT all time favorite for everybody…

Ms. Nivedita took much care to adapt or adopt for this poetry

Mon Escorte is wonderful title [but RNT did not give any title to his songs…he thematically arranged…had he given title ohh …what a fantastic thing it would have happened… unimaginable…may be he gave a blank cheque to readers to color as they like..

    ‘Entire universe was/Still speechless’

    Like all readers I’m speechless

‘Pal of my entire life /Mon Escorte /Behind already! ‘

It’s the Magic of RNT …the canvas of his so vast I feel amazed…RNT sculpts his message in your heart indelibly

Adaptation is equally good where poet blended her emotion [pure] in French what added the cadence octet in outstretched way…pleasant reading

Thanks for sharing such a touching poem of RNT

RNT is greater than greatest … we all learn and bow with reverence before his colossus skill indeed a Maestro for all ages…

The Poet tried to be utmost faithful to context of the poem [a lyric] …had this site audio option I’d have requested Poet to up-load the song [though in Bengali] … it’ll I’m sure make no difference because language bar…because it’s a song of heart …..

I sincerely congratulate the poet for her sincere effort and French caption is very much befitting

Brightness brings you to good ideas, good fortune and guide you in every way, to choose anything you want, wherever you go you'll not get lost. Light brightens your heart and mind, it could cope understanding and more knowledge, enhance wisdom and social dealings with others. And if you lost the light, you'll end up blind to the world. Very good craft I would say. (Report) Reply

‘…Have lost the path already/I discover….’ Here poet’s despairness unlike earlier boldness, ‘…I voiced: Will walk with own light…’

Finally ‘…Suddenly find/Pal of my entire life /Mon Escorte /Behind already! ‘…it’s the magic of RNT …he lifts readers in high buoyancy …from where one Unites with the Supreme…

Here the same reflexion found…poet has masterly adapted…and

For non-Bengali speaking readers …I take this opportunity to request poet to present more such…

Just for enjoying the Maestro Literati of RNT…and helping to broaden readers’ noetic canvas and horizon'.... I’m sure about it…

This poem as pointed by Rediffusion a lyric of RNT included in ‘Puja’ [worship] category … some learned poet unfortunately failed to keep the exaltation under control in commenting…

May be he felt like that… no problem as psycho-architecture is different…

Now the poem is extremely unpredictable with many curves and turns and the magical paradigm shift is seen in last 3 lines:

‘…Pal of my entire life/ Mon Escorte/ Behind already! ’…its RNT’s magic…where in utter despair God comes as ‘Mon Escorte’ [my escort] and what He is always…

Being a Bengali and an avid listener of songs of RNT [like all (refined) Bengalis] I can say…the adaptation is excellent…

RNT sent a signal that God is our Life Pal and Escorte…in all senses and …means

    Enjoyed thanks Poet
