Monster In The Closet Poem by Juan Olivarez

Monster In The Closet

Monster in the closet,
Starring out at me.
Wonder if he just got fed,
Looks like he could eat a tree.

There's a monster underneath,
My bed and I wonder why.
Does he have such smelly breath,
That new scope he's got to try.

There's a monster looking in,
My bedroom window with delight.
He's got gravy on his chin,
This guy really is a sight.

Well I got to go to sleep,
You monsters need to go back home.
To La La land you have to creep,
Cause I always sleep alone.
