Music We Play Poem by Manonton Dalan

Music We Play

Rating: 5.0

waving antennae sensing the greenish yellow fruit
too large to be eaten, she has a small tooth
smart, stayed there till the fruit becomes soft
found an opening, enough to savor the loot
some enjoy the sight and sweetness from within
they won't touch, taste but admire; beam
share to anybody worthy of a friend
laughter, excitement, cherish to the end

greed does spoil the feelings to be free
invisible shackles to a dreamer's glory
how could you love; with lots of rules to follow
would be worn out and feelings will be hollow
yet we pretend we got 'em all in a shell
we do it so well, nobody can tell
yet we dream of perfect harmony
it only exists in the music we play

Very true, harmony only exists in the music we play! Being human we have a difficult time keeping the peace, we have not yet learned how to harmonize with one another! Great poem! 10++++++++++ Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
