My Feelings Poem by David Thomas

My Feelings

i miss the attention,
i do. i miss the
Love,
that one Heavenly father gave.
i feel alone, the modern day
Walden, yet, i needn't venture
two years deep wood to feel so.
i've loved, i've lost.
At 18 i am a complex man of wonder,
a marvelous (not) mystery (not) of Alone.
father, friend, potential true love,
oh! the way the heart augments
magical weight but from a tiny tear,
sitting in a glass bottle
somewhere on a desk shed violently,
as a man's final memories eat him alive.
Cry.
What else can you do?

'A still face sheds no tear, a still man sheds many.'
