My Gratitude To You
I’ll hate you from now onwards
Since you never hated me.
I’ll shout at and rebuke you
Since you always loved me.
I’ll hit you and give you pain
Since you have saved me.
I’ll do all those things
Henceforth to you.
Because I’ve seen a pious man
Mostly gets punished.
Simple and soft meek man
Mostly gets harassed.
By shedding sweats the peasant grows grains,
But dies on starving.
Likewise these I'm finding today
All over around me.
Savior and kind hearted
Are suffering the most.
Hence I’ll hate you now - by shouting and hitting
Since you have, all along, loved and blessed me.
Perhaps that will be the fittest way
To show my … gratitude to you.
Oh' my love the Almighty -
Is that am I to do?

We can resist in the strong winds and break or such, or... be flexible and bend like a green trees and withstand much! very nice, I felt it!
Wow! ! That's quite a turn of events, Amitava. Shocked my senses, coming from you. Totally unexpected, it hits right between the eyes and heart. Absolutely great poem! ! You know that's not what you are to do, but I can feel the anger of your loss coming through. It is normal to feel that way. Great way to express your anger of doing everything good and right and still losing the one you love, so wanting now to do the opposite of what you've done in the past to show gratitude. Take care.
