My name is David, and I have a fear
Which I'd like to explain to all of you here
It's not complex at all, the epitome of simplicity
To rid myself of it would give me much felicity
Although my fear is simple, not in any way complicated
Do not for a second think it can be overrated
It's killed many people, billions in fact
Ruined their lives, yes it has really done that
I know that you're wondering what could have that power
And I don't want to keep you here, hour after hour
So I won't delay any longer, with more introductions
I won't turn this into a major production
The fear that I have, if you'll just bear with me briefly
Is of not having a cigarette, that's what it is, chiefly
Could not live my life without its magical presence
Which is very strange, since it's really a menace
