My Waterloo In Love? Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

My Waterloo In Love?

Rating: 5.0

Was the day we parted, the day of defeat
or my Waterloo in love? By chance we met,
and each morn with a lovely smile you did greet,
and by ill-fate, you said 'bye', yet you're my pet.

I was on the wing to read your words in phone
and for some months, the happiest man was I.
Being a man in smiles, like a star I shone
and in raining rhymes climbed the ladder high.

The Imo videos in nets can't me tempt
as to you, the emotional heart I keep.
To touch me, Carona, the queen can't attempt;
If the germ kills, e'en at my corpse you can't peep.

The people scare the Virus with Siddha drinks in hand.
So you come and meet me when the curfew ends in this land.
