Need Poem by Jared Weppelman

Need

I try to put words on paper to define how I feel,
but the words won't come that make it seem real.
I've lived so long without any need,
but I'm living a lie falsehood was my creed.

I know these words might be too late.
I hesitated once did it seal my fate?
You say your love is with another suit.
I guess we match as we make our pursuit.

But what I need to write is beyond understanding.
It can't be explained it's so demanding.
The days go by but the feelings don't dissipate.
I keep hoping every hour that they'll reciprocate.

But I need you now, I need your lovely smile.
I need your pretty blue eyes to stay with me awhile.
I can't exist without you here and I don't want to try.
The explosion in my gut is all my reason why.

What I want to say is a story too amazing to be told.
There's only one way to make known the feeling I hold.
What I truly want to impart is what the stars tell the sky,
for giving it a place to be and truly come alive.

The words on the paper bleed with my emotion.
I can't walk away again before I put the poetry in motion.
