Neglectful Harmony Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Neglectful Harmony

Conversations in a melody sung to one another, its
sorrow and sadness blending in a black and white
kind of memory.

Being titillated in a neglectful harmony of yester-
day, one that I gave to you without even realizing,
now our hearts feeling mangled.

Hurt and bruised from realizations of truth piercing
our hearts, yet knowing it was all my own doing, now
wishing we could begin over again, feeling so sorry.
