New Journey Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

New Journey

I never knew
But it grew
Like flowers on plant
As if it was real want

The heart felt a pinch
It gradually and slowly itched
The eyes always searched
But couldn’t reach

I always felt his absence
I wanted presence
He was invading my kingdom
I had felt such thing seldom

Sometimes I used to wake up in night
Rub the eyes and fight
“Hello I am hear”
I heard his words as if whispered

I pushed aside quilt
And smelt
I grabbed pillow as if he was in my arm
Sending with waves of warm (rays)

I had nothing besides
But dreamed about being bride
Ready to surrender on being taken away
As if new journey was on the way
