No Longer Resisting Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

No Longer Resisting Love

Longing and yearning to be with love that's being held in his
heart, wanting to share it with mine, but always being timid,
not knowing how to let go of self in order to join him.

Wanting to, as he whispers sweet nothings in these ears, just
taking this heart with him wherever he goes in this world, a
beautiful wonder that gives everything so evenly.

Sharing all that belongs to him, wanting this being to open up
so he can climb into it gently, but right now interested only
in his intellectual abilities and what he's all about.

Moments instantaneously turned around, no longer resisting his
love, for it has so tenderly been shared many times when we
were together, allowing him now to love openly and fully.
