No More Sadness Poem by Katy Rachel

No More Sadness

Tears running down my cheeks,
I don’t wanna cry no more.
I’m sick of that lump in my throat.
I’m tired of my eyes being sore.
I wanna be strong
And I wanna be brave,
But I’m just some worn-out slab of asphalt
That no one’s bothered to pave.
Sometimes it gets kinda hard
Holding it all inside.
So when it starts to build up,
I let my heart be my guide.
I’ll learn to love and protect
Like I would want someone to do for me.
So when the day comes that I stop this crying,
That’s when I’ll let love set me free.
