Love is patient,
Love is kind.
That’s what I’ve been looking for.
That’s what I’m trying to find.
Love doesn’t want
What’s to gain from someone else.
Love only wants to honor
Everyone but yourself.
Love isn’t easily angered,
It doesn’t count a person’s wrongs.
Love always protects one another,
And perseveres when the day gets long.
Love forever trusts,
It always hopes for the best.
It sees a spark in one special person
Who stands out from all the rest.
Love wants nothing to do with things that are bad.
It doesn’t expect anything in return.
Love’s the ice you reach for
When nothing else will soothe your burns.
When you ask if I’ve found a person
Who passes this Test of Tests,
I’ll just smile as a tear falls down.
The answer is: YES.
