Noggin Poem by Francesca Johnson

Noggin

Rating: 5.0

'It's a noggin' he said,
when I asked him what that object was.

'It's to keep evil spirits
away from the entrance to the room,
a centuries old tradition.'

It hangs.

I suppose it COULD be a noggin.

It looked more like
a locking device, to me.......

I've never seen it spelled before, but remember knocking in noggins when were were framing the extension to the old house. Ain't words wonderful? Great little poem. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
