Not Wanting To Be Tied Down Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Not Wanting To Be Tied Down

Mirrors of a life now past, reflecting the beauty of our
innocence as we looked across the room at one another.

Shy, timid, not wanting to be asked to dance, thinking
that it would ruin a good friendship.

Across from each other giving a new look at happiness
this poet was once looking for.

Yet never wanting to be tied down by anyone, just wanting
to be a free spirit forever.
