November Poem by Alesia Leach

November

The nights are coming earlier
and the days are growing shorter.
The frost is on the ground
and bees cannot be found.

The warm days are all but done,
rain, maybe snow has begun.
The trees stand stark almost bare,
you rake dead leaves in the cool crisp air.

Time for the Earth to shutdown,
until Spring comes back around.
Now, begins the football season
and remember to vote with wisdom.

Also time to honor the Veterans
and all the tribes of the Native Americans.
Then, settle down to a Thanksgiving feast,
remembering to praise God at the least.

That I have to post this upsets me:

The trees stand stark almost bare, you rake dead leaves in the cool crisp air. November with the onset of winter is the time for the Earth to 'shut down' and makes the trees stand bare until spring arrives ! The days become shorter and it is also the month of thanksgiving when we raise our hearts to God and all those who blessed us during the year with their love and kindness! A beautiful poem!

A Beautiful poem welcoming November, where days and nights are changing, winter is welcoming snow. A beautiful imagery of words describing the winter season. Very true said in few lines...... Also time to honor the Veterans and all the tribes of the Native Americans. Then, settle down to a Thanksgiving feast, remembering to praise God at the least. Beautiful presentation. Loved reading it. Thanks for sharing with us.
