Now Poem by Gordon Nye

Now

I sit in my room awaiting your call.
The space is calm, quiet, and at peace.
A charge in the air, a static energy I feel.
Then I hear your voice and my smile cancels all.

Our souls have seen what our eyes haven't yet.
We've danced in the clouds and gazed at the stars.
Like children we've played, with lessons learned.
The paths we walked have finally met.

What the future holds, I will not ask.
The reasons why will not be told.
It's you, here and now that I seek.
The present moment with you is where I will bask.
